Within one week - simply inform us about your extruder serial number and we will prepare the hard- and software according to the design of your extruder. The installation can be carried out by a extruserve-service engineer or an authorized extruserve service provider.
Within a few weeks - a extruserve-service engineer will check the required configuration. We will prepare the hard-and software according to your requirements and the installation will be carried out by a extruserve-service engineer.
The EXcPRO-XP control system is intended for use with single and twin screw extruders. It contains the complete sequencing logic, temperature controllers for all extruder and die zones, and provides for interfaces with upstream and downstream units used in extrusion.
For data communication, we use the Controller Area Network (CAN) field bus technology, which enables digital communication with all connected drives and various other CAN-busable controls, sensors and actuators. This ensures maximum flexibility, precision and utmost reliability. Existing analogue drives might be used as well as Can Bus controlled drives.
Analogue or CANopen extrusion interface (both as an option)
CANopen extrusion interface:
"plug & play" compatibility of extruders with downstream aggregates from a great number of different manufacturers. This maximum in flexibility is ensured by standardization with
"CiA - DSP420" and "Euromap - E27"
Systematic use of dynamic colour elements yields a quick overview of production conditions and machine status. The user can define the layout of the printouts freely and run sheet, log files and the print files can also be stored on 3.5" floppy disks and USB storage devices or network drives.
With the new EXcPRO-XP systems, temperature control does not require the machine operator to have any special skills or abilities. All temperature controllers of the system are based on the most advanced control algorithms and are self-optimizing. The swivelling and tilting operator station assembly offers maximum functionality.
An industrial PC is used for high-performance visualization. A PCI bus solution that ensures fast access to the process data of an autonomous PLC was chosen. Instead of a classical, mechanically rotating hard disc, a highly robust 512 MB (2GB EXcXP-touch version) compact flash disk is used for absolute resistance to mechanical stress.
Other advantages are:
All system and program files can be stored in a read-only section of the compact flash disc. Corruption of these files which may jeopardize proper functioning of the extruder control system is thereby made nearly impossible.
A power failure will not corrupt the extrusion application or the operating system, even if there is no independent power supply. The write-protection mechanism offers excellent virus protection!
Tele-servicing and tele-maintenance of EXcPRO-XP controls is possible via direct modem connections, cable links (parallel or serial data communication), LAN networks or Internet connections.
Tele-servicing via the Internet with the possibility of simultaneous access by several engineers offers unique advantages. For example, a process engineer may carry out a process diagnosis through the remote control functions provided, while a software specialist, who may even be located in a different place, uses programming tools to diagnose and perhaps modify the visualisation/PLC software directly.
