The idea behind the Gearbox Replacement Program is to benefit the customer by replacing a worn, but still functioning, gearbox with a completely rebuilt one, before the old one breaks down.

A simple procedure with minimal downtime!
Simply submit your gearbox replacement order and you will get an appropriate rebuilt gearbox within the term agreed. Dismantling of the old and installation of the new gearbox can be carried out by the customer himself or by an extruserve technician with minimum downtime during a scheduled maintenance period. In each case, the old gearbox is to be returned to our factory.

    Defective old gears can seriously damage the extruder's processing unit. The costs connected with such damages alone are sufficient to justify timely gearbox replacements.

    The Gearbox Replacement Program covers many CMA extruder series of the past, including the following: CM45, CM55(SC), CM65(SC), CM80(SC), CMT35, CMT45(L), CMT58(L), CMT68(L), CMT80(L), CMT90/92(L).
    extruserve replaces almost all internal parts and refurbishes the housing. If we discover cracks on the gearbox housing or on the spur wheels, which are part of the reduction gearboxes, then these parts will have to be replaced. In this case all costs incurred due to the additional repair work will be charged to the buyer.

Spur wheel: When we rebuild reduction gearboxes, the spur wheels are not usually replaced, but rotated (the active flight becomes the passive flight and vice versa). If the spur wheels have already been rotated once during a previous repair job, it is necessary to replace them too, at no extra cost to the customer.
