Make use of extruserve’s measuring device to check the thickness and wear of the MO-coating regularly. If the MO-coating wears out, the moment for an easy and cost effective MO-coating/repair has arrived. If wear goes beyond the MO-layer, re-coating is still possible, but a little more expensive because the original base diameter has to be built-up with special steel before a new MO-layer can be applied.
